Campaign Rally

'Trauma' film screening for Veterans in Construction

This event will seek to give a bird's eye view of combat and day to day horror that our troops are thrown into and of course the aftermath of these operations.

All funding will be going to the Veterans in Construction which has ambitiously taken on the task of building and funding special accommodation for veterans.

There will be a film screening and Q&A , prizes and bar with some Veterans speaking on their experiences in war zones.

May Day!

BANDS - KIDS RIDES - ACTIVIST SKILLS - FOOD - MARCH AND MORE!

May Day is the International Day of Working People and working-class struggle. It commemorates the international struggle for the 8 hour working day, first won right here in Victoria!

Today we still fight for the right of working people to enjoy time with their families, so we're celebrating with a big, family-friendly May Day fair with activities for activist kids and activist adults!

Bring family and friends along to Trades Hall for a great day out celebrating International Solidarity.

International Workers Memorial Day

Please join us on the lawn of Victorian Trades Hall by the memorial rock on Lygon St to pay tribute to workers all over the world who have been killed on the job.  No one deserves to die at work!  We will honour those who have passed and continue the fight for healthier and safer workplaces into the future.

Everyone deserves to come home to their families.

Please come along and bring your friends and family for what will be a moving day.

Change the Rules Rally

The rules keep us in insecure work, prevent us from winning higher wages, force us to work longer for less and without compensation for unsocial hours. The rules allow big business to dodge paying tax, while wage theft is left unchecked. The rules say that the ABCC can harass workers. The rules say the rich boss's negligence is the poor worker's grief, as safety takes a back seat to profits. The rules say inequality is inevitable - they say we can't strike, take action or speak out if we don't like it.

The rules are broken.
